On Tuesday evening, our Director of Engagement Programs Lauren Medici sat down with two of Omaha’s most acclaimed artistic forces, conductor Hal France (Opera Omaha Artistic Director 1995-2005) and Susan Clement-Toberer (Producing Artistic Director, BLUEBARN Theatre), to discuss their upcoming production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at Opera Omaha, part of our upcoming 2020/2021 Season. Virtual Prelude Talk: La Sonnambula
Keith Wolfe-Hughes, General Director of Opera Birmingham, presented Friday’s Virtual Prelude Talk on Bellini’s La Sonnambula, in advance of The Metropolitan Opera’s free stream of the opera, in a production starring Natalie Dessay, Juan Diego Flórez, and Michele Pertusi, and conducted by Evelino Pidò which was broadcast live on March 21, 2009.
