An Art Show Inspired by Giulio Cesare

Opera Omaha, Wicked Raven Productions, and Joslyn Castle and Gardens proudly invite artists to participate in our upcoming art exhibition, "Baroque Entanglements." This exhibition celebrates the lush themes of Handel's Giulio Cesare through dynamic artistic interpretations, capturing the essence of love, power, and Baroque splendor.

Theme:

Artwork should explore the intrigue and emotion of Giulio Cesare, inspired by the passionate characters and ornate grandeur of the Baroque period. Artists are encouraged to convey themes of seduction, political intrigue, and the dramatic interplay of historical figures Cleopatra and Julius Caesar.

Artists Selection:

Open to all artists and mediums. Selection is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Artists must agree to read the synopsis of the opera and submit a concept or photos prior to final approval.

Important Dates:

Art Submission Deadline: April 7th
Opening Reception: April 17th
Special Showcase at Orpheum Theater: May 1st
Show Closing: May 6th

Additional Information:

No entry fee.
All artwork must be for sale.
A 25% commission applies to all sales.
A small selection of art from this exhibit will be chosen for a special showcase at the Orpheum Theater.
