Twelve Days of Carmen-Day Seven

For the next two days in this series, we offer the singing voices of Leann Sandel-Pantaleo and Jonathan Burton. Their characters have many issues onstage. As Lillian says, some people should never meet. In rehearsals, they are a dream team. Two more wonderful artists are outstanding on the team. Leah Partridge is Micaela and Marcelo Guzzo, Escamillo in Opera Omaha’s production of Carmen. Their characters balance the story bringing beauty and gallantry to the mix.

Carmen doesn’t recognize limits or rules, yet subscribes totally to the power of destiny. Here’s a moment from Act Three.
