National Opera Week 2018
Each fall, Opera Omaha celebrates National Opera Week with a variety of free events showcasing the full spectrum of opera and opera related experiences. The overall goal of National Opera Week is introducing and exposing as many people as possible to opera.

Presented in collaboration with the Omaha Public Library, OPERAtion storytime introduces opera to our youngest audiences and includes an opera themed book, and opera/vocal activities with an Opera Omaha Holland Community Artist Fellow. This storytime explores the early literacy skills of singing, playing, talking and reading.
An Evening with Ellen Reid
Friday, October 26 | 7:00 pm | Bluebarn Theatre
An intimate concert featuring the works of composer Ellen Reid and her contemporaries, performed by the Holland Community Opera Fellows with featured musicians. Followed by a conversation with Ellen. Ellen Reid is a Curator of Opera Omaha's 2019 ONE Festival and will be composing original works for the Festival.
Registration is encouraged, but not required. Please note, this concert series is more informal in nature and seating is available on a first come first serve basis.
Healing Arts Concert

Opera Omaha Holland Community Opera Fellows perform a free concert for patients, families, staff, students, and the public in the lobby at the Buffet Cancer Center. In collaboration with the UNMC/Nebraska Medicine Healing Arts Program.
Behind the Curtain with Girl Scouts
Saturday, November 3 | 10:00 am | Opera Omaha Rehearsal Studio
Behind the Curtain is an interactive workshop which bring kids to Opera Omaha to get a behind the scenes look at various elements of making an opera through activity stations. This Behind the Curtain is offered with community partner Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska.
