TOSCA @ The Orpheum Theater

03 NOV 2017

Friday, November 3, 2017 | 7:30 p.m.

Love, lust, religion and politics fatally collide in Puccini’s beloved masterpiece. The lecherous chief of police, Scarpia, will stop at nothing to possess the beautiful singer Floria Tosca who must give the ultimate performance in a desperate attempt to save the man she loves.

For this co-production of Opera Omaha and Boston Lyric Opera, Conductor Carlos Izcaray makes his Opera Omaha debut and director Crystal Manich returns following her widely heralded production of La bohème last fall. Soprano Lee Bisset, star of Opera Omaha’s recent The Girl of the Golden West, returns to sing
the title role as another Puccini heroine.
