Voices in residence – words, music and meaning
In partnership with the Omaha Children’s Museum, Voices in Residence
features 4 professional Resident Artists, Resident Music Director J. Gawf, Community Programs Coordinator Tara Cowherd, and educators from the Children’s Museum in area and regional schools and communities. Under the direction of William Shomos, Director of Opera at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, the performances provide a framework for experiencing the interaction of words and music—the essence of opera—with famous solos and ensembles, insightful narration, English supertitles, and background information on composers and librettists. Benefits of booking include free tickets to an upcoming production.
