“Words and Music” with Ted Kooser and Musical Guests
Hear former U.S. Poet Laureate and The Blizzard Voices world premiere librettist Ted Kooser speak of the impact of poetry and answer the question “Why set words to music?”. You may also get a sneak musical preview of the upcoming world premiere. The evening’s musical entertainment includes a featured performance by the popular songwriters for the upcoming OMAHA VOICES in Concert

Find Your Voice
Opera Omaha provides to you a full day of opera fun for every age. Events include workshops for children, poetry readings, scrapbooking of your Opera Omaha memories, an introductory class – Puccini: Behind the Music – in the new Puccini 101 series and a popular Voices in Residence interactive performance – all FREE at Barnes & Noble. Other highlights include door prizes and special ticket giveaways. A portion of the day’s sale proceeds from all area Barnes & Noble stores will be donated to Opera Omaha.
